It has been a whole year since I wrote a blog post and another Flowerpatch Quilters exhibition is rapidly approaching. This year we are raising funds for RNLI Lifeboats with our quilt raffle and sales table at the exhibition.
We have thoroughly enjoyed making our charity quilt this year as the block has been a fairly simple combination of "English Paper Piecing" and "Square in Square" blocks in two different sizes.
The completed block is rotated to make an interesting pattern across the bed quilt. Sometimes it is difficult to pick out the block so here's a pic.
Sandy Chandler has very kindly quilted for us with her longarm machine to make it extra special. It's lovely to think that someone can win a quilt made with love for as little as £1.
Now it's back to my quilt for entry into the exhibition - just the binding to finish and the all important sleeve for hanging.
still stitching!
